It is no big news that I am a huge fan of all kinds of Advent Calendars – that is how the Alte Künste Advent Calendar got started last year – this year there will even be 2 different versions of the Alte Künste Advent Calendar!

Version 1 – the large Advent Calendar with 24x 0.7oz mini-skeins
This year we chose Blue Faced Leicester High Twist as base yarn for the advent calendar. These are mini skeins of the BFL High Twist sockyarn that we have started to offer this spring. There will be 24 different colours with no doubles. On top of that there will be 5 different stitch markers by Atelier Marie Lucienne and a set of knitting patterns for hat & mittens by Stefanie Bold Design.
The number of available large Advent Calendars is limited this year. You can secure your Advent Calendar in the shop as pre-orders are open. Shipping will be mid-November so that your advent calendar will reach you in time for the start of December.

Version 2: Yarn, Bees & Seeds
This is the smaller version, but with even more fun: it includes a set of 5x 0.7oz BFL High Twist mini-skeins, that work together nicely. Plus 4 stitch markers by Atelier Marie Lucienne (different ones than in the large Advent Calendar) and of course 15 different packages of seeds with describtions of plants that provide nectar and pollen to bees and/or are traditional dye plants.
A few years ago we started to keep bees here at Alte Künste and early on we realized the huge overlap between traditional dye plants and plants that provide nectar and pollen to bees and other insects.
The number of Bees & Seeds Advent Calendar is limited this year. Pre-Order are open. Shipping will be in mid-November.
